NASB | Numbers 33:55 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come about that those whom you let remain of them will become as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you live. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Numbers 33:55 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be like pricks in your eyes and like thorns in your sides, and they will attack you in the land in which you live. |

Bible Note: Baja, I was responding, in part, because it seems a lot of folks believe that because an infant or a mentally challenged adult cannot discern the necessity of a savior that they are "without hope." (Perhaps I should have enquoted those words in my previous post?) Scripture does seem to support this view, but the love, mercy and grace that is our Father doesn't seem to line up with that view. Therefore, as with you, I can't prove it scripturally, there must be some kind of provision. Maybe the age of accountability, maybe something else - but there must be something. If every hair on our heads is numbered, then God must be in love with us. He surely knows that there are those who cannot reason with maturity, yet I'm sure He loves them every bit as much....It's just simply He hasn't deemed it necessary to tell us all His plans and ways - we're on a need-to-know basis :o) |
