AMPLIFIED 2015 | Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it? |
Bible Question:
Mark 7:35 And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly. Mark 7:36 And He gave them orders not to tell anyone; but the more He ordered them, the more widely they continued to proclaim it. When the Lord told her not to tell was it just a ploy so she could tell? Or did he really not want her to tell? |
Bible Answer: Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? [KJV] jbw your zest for the word of God is invigorating and an example for all. Jesus said, ". . . unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."(John 14:6) [KJV] He is the truth. Can or would He lie? If He said it does He mean it? These questions should be settled within your heart before you let them proceed out of your mouth. Your zeal for God's word shows the burning desire that He has put into your heart for His truth. Let Him show you the way. Do not rely on the easy way. Do not rely on us, those who respond on the forum. We all have skew on the word. Might I suggest acouple of books that may help you in your study of the Word of God. "Vine's Theological Dictionary" and "Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible" There are a great many Strong's and of those I have seen this one is really good. These are not real expensive you can get both for about 40 dollars. Continue to dig deep into God's word. By the way, anytime you see ". . ." before or after a scripture, find out what was left out.
