Bible Question: Character description of moses? |
Bible Answer: Jesus portrays Moses as the one who accuses us before the Father. John 5:45 "Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. Because of that verse I too have wondered about what Rev says about the "accuser of the bretheren". Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Rev 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. Anyone have any input on this conection? I know that the Greek word for Accuse is categorio or a form there of. It is the same Greek that we draw our English word catagory from. Isn't that interesting. To put someone into a catagory, whether in our mind, heart, or daily life and leave them there, is catagorizing them and that is not a good thing from what I see. I am looking forward to your input. |
