Bible Question:
Reading John:30-33 I'm having a hard time understanding. the circumstances where God gave manna to the Israelites,I think they wanted God to perform so that they could believe. Manna looked like bread? Did Moses really give in, I think he didn't,because he didn't give them the Manna,I think that Jesus gave them a wonderful gift, spiritual food..i think the people wanted Jesus to give then a sign when they connected Moses to Jesus. This is a hard to understand. Thanks |
Bible Answer: Ex 16:31 The house of Israel named it manna, and it was like coriander seed, white, and its taste was like wafers with honey. The people needed food to eat in the wilderness and God gave them manna. Keep in mind it was the Israelights that called it "manna", which in Hebrew means "what is it?" Exodus tells us it was like bread but different. God gave this to them until the complained about not having meat. Then in the above mentioned verse gave the enough quail to drowned in! God continued to give then manna to the time the entered the promise land. Josh 5:12 The manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the sons of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during that year. |
