Subject: A Loving GOD Who Hates |
Bible Note: Dear Prayon, even if one accepts th dispensational view of Malachi 1, How does this explain God's hatred of Esau's decendents. The decendents of Jacob also practiced idolotry (not all but probably most). The Hebrew word "sane" means "hate" or "detest" according to the concordaces I've looked at. Here in the NASB index feature and Strong's as well. I also found another verse in which God expressed hatred towards man. Ps 11:5 "The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates". We can be assured that when God hates it is a holy and righteous hatred. It is not the sinful hatred that man exhibits. John Reformed |
