Jonah 1:3 But Jonah ran away to Tarshish to escape from the presence of the LORD [and his duty as His prophet]. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading cities]. So he paid the fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the LORD. [Gen 4:16; Job 1:12; 2:7] |

Bible Note: I submitted a note explaining the history behind my situation, however, on submitting it, I cannot now find it. Is there a time cut-off point or a way of losing the notes on this forum? I shall endeavour to look up the scriptures requested by Steve and post them for discussion. I must admit, I'm slightly dismayed at losing all the notes I've just typed in, but hey, it won't be the first time I've been sidetracked when trying to talk about my testimony. 2 Kings refers to Ashtoreth, the high priestess, and Baal. Ashtoreth was cast out a an ancestrial spirit. Deut scriptures regarding audible voice. Please bear with me whilst I take my bible and search out the long forgotton scriptures from my past. |
