Subject: Leavened Bread vs. Unleavened Bread |
Bible Note: The word for the unleavened is azumos, which means unfermented, free from leaven or yeast. However, the word used in 1Cor 11:23, 26, 27, 28) is artos, which means food composed of flour mixed with water and baked. Matt 26:26, Mark 14:22 and Luke 22:19 use the same word. All these refer to the Last Supper. John 13:18 also uses the same word, but may not be the Last Supper. |
