Bible Question: My husband said that there is a mistake in the bible concerning CORN. In Exodus Chapter 42 verse 5 it says, "And he slept and dreamed the second time; and behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good." My husband says that only America had corn at this particular time. Is he right? |
Bible Answer: dat, I think you mean Genesis 41:5 not Exodux 42:5 which does not exist. A better and more modern translation than "corn" is "grain" which you will fing in the NASB on this site. "Corn" in the time of King james meant the same as grain does today. It covered a variety of cereal or grain crops. American "corn" at that time was known as maize. Emmaus |
