Bible Question: Matthew 19:9 vs. Mark 10:9 Is divorce because of marital unfaithfullness accepted by God or: What God has joined together let no man seperate? |
Bible Answer: hi roman t, Would you like a 3rd answer? While God allows divorce for marital unfaithfulness does he not also require us to forgive sins? Matt 6:14 "For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matt 6:15 "But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. So the "law" permits divorce but being forgiven requires us to forgive. Therefore if the immoral person will not be reconcilled and absolutely will not return to the relationship, shall we wait forever for them? You know, I think maybe that people who tell you otherwise may all be married. tortoise |
