Bible Note: Ed, You are wrong on this. I have never heard any such thing as Mary forgiving sins. As for Mary not dying and ascending into heaven. That is also incorrect. The Church does not teach that Mary did not die. It does not have a formal teaching on that subject. The majority consensus of theologians is that she did die. It does teach her Assumption, which in a different thing from ascension. Only Jesus ascended by his own power.
