Bible Question: Is it wrong to get a tatoo? |
Bible Answer: Personally, I never received a tattoo nor ever desired one. The following Scriptures spoke to me personally telling me that I shouldn't get any tattoos You are not to make gashes on your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves; I am the LORD. (Lev. 19:28 HCSB) 1 Cor. 6:19 Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own; 1 Cor. 6:20 for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body. (ASV) I consider my body to be the temple in which the Holy Spirit resides, therefore if my body is to be His temple, then I should not defile it by putting unnatural markings on it. The only marks on my body are scars. I want to keep this temple pure for His glory. Thats my two-cents worth |
