Bible Question: does the laws of eating unclean meat in Lev. still pertain to today or does that change when God opened up the sheet to Simon in Acts and told him to eat? |
Bible Answer: Dear saved and happy - The dietary restrictions of Leviticus 11 were addressed to and intended for the nation of Israel. In Mark 7:19 Jesus declared all foods clean. Jesus' death on the cross marked an end to the Old Testament law. See Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15. ..... There is a special teaching on this topic that you will want to read. See Romans 14:1-23. ..... In the Acts account you refer to (Chapter 10), God was teaching the apostle Peter a lesson about people (see Acts 10:28). --Hank |
