Subject: Why did God wait to send the Holy Spirit |
Bible Note: Sir Pent We seem to be getting tangled up in definitions and implications. Let’s talk relationship. In the Old Testament, man and God were in a very different relationship than what we enjoy as New Testament believers. In the Old Testament God loved his people and used men and women chosen by Him to serve Him. In this service God empowered them through His Holy Spirit with the capabilities they needed to accomplish their task. In the New Testament our relationship with God is as Father child. God sends us His Holy Spirit to dwell within us to help us achieve all that we can along with doing His service. EdB |
