NASB | Daniel 4:32 and you will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the beasts of the field. You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.' |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Daniel 4:32 and you will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the animals of the field. You will be given grass to eat like the cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you until you know [without any doubt] that the Most High God rules over the kingdom of mankind and He bestows it on whomever He desires."' |
Bible Question:
During Nebuchadnezzar's absence, who took his place to rule the kingdom? Was it Evil-Merodach? Anywhere it is stated in the bible? Thanks for your help. Shalom Azure |
Bible Answer: Interesting question. I am not aware of anywhere it states in scripture who replaced Nebuchadnezzar during this time of insanity. Adam Clark's commentary states the following: Verse 26. "No new king was set up; Evil-merodach his son was regent during his father's insanity." |
