Bible Question:
good morning i just started reading the book of revelation last night over the last month or so i have read thru the wwhole new testament almost i have enjoyed the reading so much i am only thru 3 chapters in revelation and having a hard time understanding john's vision how do i understand this better is this john's interpretation of what he saw in heaven? i say a prayer before starting to read and ask God to help me not to get so confused another question what is the secound death? any help appreciated love janice |
Bible Answer: Revelation is a difficult book to understand. It should be the last book of the Bible you read. You should read and interpret the rest of the Bible before you try to interpret Revelation. Once you have a handle on the Old Testament particularly the Books of Prophecy, Revelation will make a lot more sense. Even so, you will not be able completely understand Revelation, I know I don’t. No matter how much you know about the Bible there is always something new to discover. I’ve been studying the Bible for nearly 30 years and its still as fresh and exciting as the day I first picked it up. |
