NASB | Daniel 2:43 "And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Daniel 2:43 "And as you saw the iron mixed with common clay, so they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not merge [for such diverse things or ideologies cannot unite], even as iron does not mix with clay. |
Bible Question: when one looks at daniel 2.43, and at the 13 versions i.e. nivKJVetc side-by-side(using the Different.Layout), i would appreciate understanding how.why some versions justify/feel THEIR interpretation REseed of men(the mingling with) is "marriage bonds". for this contetextually to mean marriage, that seems to me to have been an easy-enough concept to have been expressed AS such. the THEY i believe relate to Gen6.1, and fallen-angels/demons...nephalim. what "Litmus Test" could identify US from THEM? in/with myourCreatorChristJesus'Love...anyone? |
Bible Answer: I'm not sure I fully understand your question entirely, but I will say that I tend to believe that Dan:2:43 is referring to something other than government or marriage. The context leads me to believe that is referring to something actually mingling WITH the seed of men, internally as d.n.a. To otherwise translate it as marriage is adding something that is not there. It could be because people shy away from the horror of the reality of what is really going to take place. People wouldn't want to believe we could be deceived in such a way, but as 2 thess. 2:11 and Matt.24:24 say, as well as many others, people will be deceived into believing a lie, and we really don't know what that lie will entail. Hope this helps. Misty |
