Bible Question (short): Here or there? |
Question (full): I believe the last words are "The Lord is Here". Every translation I have so far found has said "The Lord is there". If we look at what Yahwey says , He speaks of desiring to have fellowship with us , His name meaning, "I am , Here, I am. How many instances in the bible does The Lord say and our Lord Jesus Christ also say " Here I am". Here and there are opposites. You cannot be here and at the same time be there( unless you are God!) Jehovah our God desires closeness with us. The bible tells us so. In Ezekiel The Lord speaks of how He will eventually come to dwell with us and be our light. He says He will be here with us . Therefor I believe the translation to be "The Lord is here." I believe the Holy bible to be completely accurate. What I know is that man ( and woman!) can accidentally/unknowingly/uncaringly change the meaning by changing one little word. The truth is my aim and faithfully serving the Lord. Can anyone help with the Hebrew or possibly Greek rranslation? Does anyone agree with me? |
