Bible Question:
Ezekiel 28:17 is using this as a reference to the king of Tyre (Ezekiel 28:2) in a symbolic sense, that he used to follow God but has corrupted His Word. Are you saying he back-slid? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Teragram123, Perhaps he was never saved or truly regenerated in the first place.. Pride and the spirit to control can utterly destroy a person, even at a person's root. Matthew 27:18 states that Pilate knew that the chief priests and the elders gave Jesus over to be crucified because they were envious of Him.. Yes, I believe that the person spoken of (or personified of) in Ezekiel 28:2-17 sang a different tune from the start, and that being a tune of his own, and not one that was totally in complementing nature with God's tune. And the seeds of rebellion were lain, and eventually the person spoken of (or personified of) in Ezekiel 28:2-17 would be eventually exposed, and his true colors, intentions and nature would be shown for what it was. Blessings to you, Makarios |
