God’s people are expected to be righteous... all unrighteousness will be cut off... all that refuse the truth of the Gospel... God has not changed. He dealt with man differently in the OT... but the sin HE hates has not changed... all unrighteousness will be punished. To say we are saved by grace places us under great Responsibility to do what our LORD desires... at all cost.

Those that say they are Christians and walk in darkness and sin are deceived and even God is their enemy...

2 Thes. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Sin is a mock of Christianity...
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Some say well God sees my heart... Amen to that... and a righteous heart shows forth in a righteous life...
Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

Peter preached righteousness to be accepted by God and not merely saying by grace am I saved...
Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Paul told the church to “cut off” sinning saints not say they are merely saved by grace...
1 Cor. 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

Our lives are to reflect Christ to the world...
Col. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

True believer do the word... not only hear it...
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The fool hears the pure gospel but does not live pure lives...
Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

The only ones to be blessed are the doers of the word...
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The Pharisees were hypocrites not doing righteousness... merely trusting grace alone to save them...
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

James clearly tells us that Grace without a righteous life is worthless...
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.... 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

The righteous will do the deeds of righteousness, not merely fulfill their flesh and say they have faith in grace...
Matthew 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Grace manifests in a life that has truely been effected by GRACE... Grace reigns through righteousness!

Sin brings death... Grace brings a righteous life with a reward of eternal life...
Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

If Christ and His HOLY Spirit truly dwells within our heart... it will show in our lives...
Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Grace shows it's self in a born again life thru righteousness... sin is a reproach to a nation, church or a believer. Grace endues with power to do God's will and deny my own will.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
