Bible Note: Hi Echo, I am impressed with your desire to know and your work ethic in digging for answers. I am sorry that I was so vague in what I was suggesting to you, and sorry that no one else could help you in your study. I would not say that you are off base in the thoughts that you came up with but they are not what I intended to lead you to. The only thing that I was meaning to point out to you is that the word "spirit" (which to me is a word of spiritual power), is mentioned five times in this section of Scripture. Ezekiel 1:12, 20, (three times), and 21 in the NKJ. In 1 Corinthians 4:21 there is one "spirit". The other four are found in 5:3,4,5, and 6:17. Somewhere in the archives is a discussion about why I thought that the number five was chosen by Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:19, and I used these verses in my theory. If this makes sense to you, and you want to read the discussion, perhaps it is at 1 Corinthians 14:19. Or type in "Ray five words" or Ray Ezekiel in the Search at the top right. The five words of "spirit" concerning 1 Corinthians 14:19 are found in 14:2, 14, 15, 15, and 16. I know that the studying you did was not for nothing; however I am sorry that I did not make myself more clear in trying to help you. From the heart, Ray |
