Bible Question:
Dear prayon and SBF saints, I know the definition, but describe the ancient paths. Who is it that refuses to walk in them? In what manner would this exhortation apply to us in the New Covenant? In Christ Jesus, charis |
Bible Answer: Dear Charis, I believe that it is the Isrealites that refuse to walk in the path. At this time the Isrealites had forgotten God and had "stumbled in their ways in the ancient roads" (Jer 18:15). Verse 17 says that He has sent sentinels (the prophets) to warn us. Today He continues to send us messengers to warn us. Many today are not listening either. It reminds us of the fact that we MUST walk in the narrow path of God's word. In Christ, prayon |
