Subject: Capitals? What was your question Ray? |
Bible Note: Hi Makarios, It is rather fun to look back at our posts after more than a year of conversations. This computer data base is a little scary though in that nobody knows how our beliefs have changed through the year. I know that through the year I have changed my personal copy's capitalization choices. And I have learned a lot from everybody. I wonder if you have changed your choice of child and son for this Isaiah 9:6 thread to the Amplified rendering? Just this week I looked at Hebrews 7:26,27 (and other referances) again and discussed how Jesus was a perfect Man and was not a sinner. I wonder if you have changed your choice of high priest for Hebrews 7:26. Because I still think that it can only be talking about Jesus because there is no other high priest that is holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners. For those other high priests had to offer up sacrifices for their own sins. Do you agree with this rendering of mine for Hebrews 7:27? "...who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for *his own sins, and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself." But his Eternal Father thread; I'll be thinking about that more and hopefully you will be helping us all grow in our knowledge. I have always been impressed with your knowledge and thankful for your willingness to help everybody. In this thread we discussed the son of man. And we have studied together I think the fact that God is not a son of man that He will change His mind. Have you changed your thoughts through the year about whether Jesus is the Son of Man instead of the son of man? I look forward to speaking more with you. From the heart, Ray |
