Bible Answer: If you would read the first 14 verses of the chapter God is telling the people he has called them and they refuse to obey and continued to do evil before him. so in verse 11 God tells them since you forsake the temple and seek to eat and drink fortune from other Gods' you will go hungry and thristy while my servants are recieving the best from me. That's what happens when we leave God and get into a self-sufficent mood thinking we can do things ourselves without the help of God. We make our circumstances desolate instead of properous. |
