AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 58:2 "Yet they seek Me day by day and delight [superficially] to know My ways, As [if they were in reality] a nation that has done righteousness And has not abandoned (turned away from) the ordinance of their God. Subject: Were the Jews doomed? |
Bible Note: The answer above is good but I just wanted to make certain I understand correctly. It seems to me that Yes, of course, the Jews were all doomed to suffer the same fate as ALL mankind. Paul made this clear in Rom 3:23 for ALL of us are human and have a great irresitable urge to NOT live the absolutely perfect life like Jesus. So from the very beginning upon kicking Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, God knew that we would all need His Son as the Perfect Sacrifice to take care of our sins, thus His Plan to send Jesus for that purpose, Gen 3:15. All the heros of the Bible, even Abraham, Moses and all the others made mistakes in their lives and thus needed this avenue to make it to Heaven. Without Christ's Blood to cover our sins, any person on Judgment Day is doomed to spend eternity in Hell. 1 Pet 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. 1 Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
