Bible Question: I know this is a small matter or so it seems but to saw a beautiful painting in the bible bookstore of a mighty lion and a gental lamb. Why wouldn't a beautiful wolf work as well. It seems it is one more thing that non believers can pick up on. Is it just not important. |
Bible Answer: We would have to ask the writer of the song I guess. Since the song was widely sung, it sort of took off and other things were created like the pictures and paintings. Yes a wolf would have worked as well but for some reason, unknown to us, the writer chose a lion. I think your missing the point though. The song conveys how wonderful it will be when there is peace. We all make mistakes. This is a small one. It does not change the theme of the song or message of peace. The Lord said we are to proclaim the gospel and trust Him for the results. Trust Him. He works in people's lives to bring them the gospel. John 3:16 |
