Bible Question: So, out of curiosity, how can you condemn smoking (whether in excess or not) but condone the consumption of alcohol and "any drug" as long as it's in moderation? Sounds bogus to me. |
Bible Answer: As long as your action doesn't make you wander from Jesus and the Gospel, it's all okay. By that I mean, if getting drunk causes you to sin, it's not okay. I've never seen a person lose focus of Jesus because of cigarettes. I have seen many people wander because of alcohol and other mind altering drugs. With that being said - Jesus not only drank wine, but made it. I think it all comes down to, are you gloryifing Christ with these actions? Does it bring you closer to Christ? If it does then smoke, drink, snort, shoot up! If it makes you lose your values, you should not be doing it. |
