Bible Question: Can anyone help me understand this passage in Isaiah as I am going to be preaching on it soon and would like to have a better understanding of what it is that needs to be clarified so I can be better equiped to put sermon together. Any helpers able to help me Please? Pete |
Bible Answer: Hello Pete, I will give you what I "see" in these verses and pray that they will give you a nudge in the direction needed. Is 43:1 - I believe this verse is a reference to Christ's redemptive work on the Cross. Is 43:2 - I believe this verse refers to the great dispersion that occurred in 65-70AD with the Roman distruction of the Second Temple. Is 43:3-4 - I believe these 2 verses are a reminder that God still loves Israel even though they have been scattered throughout the World and the price that will be paid for them during their exile in anticipation of their re-gathering.
