AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 30:29 You will have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, And joy of heart as when one marches [in procession] with a flute, To go to the [temple on the] mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel. |
Bible Question: What is your reaction to a comparison of Isaiah 30:29 and John 10:31? Is it the same as mine? |
Bible Answer: Word study ... tsuwr-petra, caqal-lithazo ... Ray, greetings. There is no comparison between Isaiah 30:29 and John 10:31, which says "The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him." Rock is tsuwr (Isa 30:39) in Hebrew and petra in Greek. Stone is caqal in Hebrew and lithazo (John 10:31) in Greek. Be careful when comparing even the same word in English. There could be a vast difference in the orginial. Searcher |
