Bible Note: 8788, I believe you can find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in your circumstance in life. Also, some of Gods servants in the Bible too had to overcome trials in their life. Paul is a good example of one who served the Lord but was given a thorn in the flesh (Corr. 12:7) "the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exaulted above measure." Now Paul asked the Lord 3 times that it might depart from him.(v.9) And he (Lord) said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is make perfect in weakness. Paul then finishes the verse by saying Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.(v.10) Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then am I strong. I find comfort in these words knowing that God already knows my circumstances and is able to deliver me from them at any time. However, sometimes for my good and His glory he will allow such infirmities to be the very thing in my life that challenges me to draw closer to Him, and be of service to Him knowing that God only wants what's good for me and that which will bring glory to Him. May God bless you as you seek His will in your life. "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE" might be that verse you seek. JAL |
