NASB | Song of Solomon 4:12 "A garden locked is my sister, my bride, A rock garden locked, a spring sealed up. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Song of Solomon 4:12 "A garden enclosed is my sister, my [promised] bride-- A rock garden locked, a spring sealed up. |
Bible Question: "You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride". It is confusing because it says "my sister, my wife". What does the reference to "my sister" mean? |
Bible Answer: Greetings John P - As I read this I am reminded that when a husband and wife share a common faith in the Lord, they are part of God's family (John 1:12) and can rightly call one another brother and sister. I suspect that there is something for us to consider in her description as a "garden locked." mommapbs |
