AMPLIFIED 2015 | Song of Solomon 1:6 "Do not gaze at me because I am deeply tanned, [I have worked in] the sun; it has left its mark on me. My mother's sons were angry with me; They made me keeper of the vineyards, But my own vineyard (my complexion) I have not kept." |
Bible Question (short): normal insecurities? |
Question (full): This may sound like a stupd question but it's one that has caused a grate deal a debate with one of my friends. In regards to chapter 1:6 of the song of songs. Was the shulamite selfish and self focused when she was insecure of how she looked in the eyes of solomon? I am trying to help a married couple in understanding the normal side of this and the sinful side and how they need to relate to eachother in this regard. Any feedback would be greatly appriciated. |
