Bible Question: where do we go when we die? cuz, sum people say that u go directly to heaven like Jesus said to the thief that was crucified next to him. Some people say that when u die u just sleep until Jesus comes back. |
Bible Answer: We have to remember that the bible was translated from writtings that have no punctuation. Christ told the thief that he would be in paridise. Christ did not rise for three days and when he did the fist to see him was Mary Magdalene. See Mk 16. What does Christ tell her? Ps 115:17 Rev 20:5 , 2 Kings 8:24, 10:35, 13:9 and many more. This is the first lie told on earth. See Gen 2:17 3:4 . In Gen 2:17 God says if you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil thou shalt surely die. Then in Gen 3:4 the serpent which is the devil tells the woman ,ye shall not surely die. Did Eve Die? Yes. Rom 6:23 for the wages of sin is death. Eccl 9:5,6 For the living know that they shall die:but the dead know not anything, neither have they anymore a reward; for the momory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun. If we go to heaven when we die then what is the purpose of the resurection when Christ returns? Rev 20:5,6. There are two resurections, the first is to life with Christ and the wicked live not again foe a thousand years. So what is death most like? Sleep. Eccl 9:5,6. Another question you may want to ask next is what happens to the wicked? |
