Bible Question:
I am leading a study inspired by Proverbs 23:7, "FOR AS A MAN THINKS IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE" NKJV I need some deep thought provoking questions for the study. This week we will be reading (among others) Jeremiah 10:10-13 and Revalation 4:11 I like to challenge people to go deep into the meaning of scriptures, what questions can I ask pertaing to those verses? |
Bible Answer: Hi Ken. Welcome. I don't know how "deep" this is but, here is a thought. It would seem that these verses are talking about the total power and sovereignty of God, to accomplish all things. Indeed, the formation of clouds, the wind, rain, lightning, are all talked about in Jer.10:10-13 and in Rev 4:11 it says that not only is all creation by God's will but, also, the fact, it would seem from the text, that continued existence is do to the will of God. In reference to Prov. 23:7 What does your heart say? do you believe if God were to remove His hand, that it all would cease to exist? Or do you suppose, that nature could continue to carry on without Him? What do we as Christians really believe in our heart, do we believe in the "total" sovereignty of God, in ALL things, as it is taught in the Bible? Do we teach it? God Bless John |
