AMPLIFIED 2015 | Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked [and distances Himself from them], But He hears the prayer of the [consistently] righteous [that is, those with spiritual integrity and moral courage]. |
Bible Question: WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE ORTHODOX OR HASIDIC JEWS WHO SINCERELY BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER YET SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT THE MESSIAH HAS YET TO COME. AND SINCE THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS, DOES GOD LISTEN TO THEIR PRAYERS AND ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR RELIGIOUS PRACTICES AND DEEPLY HELD RELIGIUOS BELIEFS? |
Bible Answer: The issue to consider is WHO is righteous? Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous. 1 Peter 3:12 "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." Please read Romans 3:9-31. Paul is very clear about the righteousness that comes from God through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:12-13 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." See also Galatians 2:16-21. |
