Bible Question: He-man, What does this have to do with "Where in the Old Testament were promises given of a Messiah?" |
Bible Answer: I hope this is much clearer; You guys apparently are not to familar with the bible without explanation so here goes..These were the promises of a messiah, he gave to the Hebrews in the OT. "and that he will choose Jerusalem again, as he had chosen it formerly, to put his name there; he will renew and confirm the choice, and continue it a chosen place, till it must resign its honours to the Jerusalem that is from above". Heaven is his holy habitation above; thence WE MUST EXPECT HIM TO APPEAR, Isa. 64:1. Silently acquiesce in his holy will, and patiently wait the issue, as those who are assured that when God is raised up OUT OF HIS HOLY HABITATION(like you know, a place called HEAVEN) he will not retreat, nor sit down again, till he has accomplished his whole work (You know like, Here on EARTH "the meek shall inherit the EARTH", Psalms 37:11,in the Future of these writers).see Hab. 2:20; Zep. 1:7. Read Psalms 22 the whole chapter describes Christ. Like in the NT Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. |
