Bible Note: I also want to add balance. Yes we are not to judge another man slave. However that is reference to his ministry not his conduct. If one man goes about the Lords task in a way that is different than mind I’m not to say it had to be done this way and no other. People keep wanting everyone to stop judging them but that is exactly how to get to know a person. "you will know them by their fruit". It is part of the discernment. When the Scripture talks about judging it is not talking about judging their actions as acceptable or unacceptable or even attempting to deciphering their motivates. It is talking about trying to decide if their testimony of salvation is true or not. In other words is the person saved or not. As scripture says we simply do not have the all information to make that determination. However if I see a man rob a bank I have more than enough information to declare him a bank robber and find him guilty of such. If I hear a man teaching falsehoods and heresy I have enough information and am required to declare him a false teacher. If we see someone giving advice that contradicts scripture we are required to step up and declare it as a contradiction. Too many ministries/people want a to apply human reasoning where the Bible gives direct and absolute direction, as Christians we can not idly stand by and allow this. EdB |
