Bible Note: Good answer - I am searching for words to clarify His glory. God has always desired to reveal Himself - and I noted that the people weren't thrilled at Moses' glowing appearance and yet Moses would unveil himself to speak to the Lord - face to face. There seems to be a resistance in we - his people - to actually encounter God - we'd rather raise money - enhance our own lives - have our needs met - and I feel like I've been missing out on the excitement of seeking His face being transformed - and from glory to glory - God's eternal unfolding of the depths of his glory - and it did seem like light - but as love motivates us to give without considering the cost - My love of God - if I continually look to Him would cause our lives to relinguish out grasp on our vision in place of what He is. I loved seeing your response - I just can't figure out why we continually get caught up in the nitty gritty of the expression of our love and turn into dried up prunes - most people turn their noses up at prunes and have to develop a taste for them. There is lots of neighborly care by people who are uninterested in God and so there is still more of what defines reflecting His glory. I'm going to search this more. It was a great start. Thanks |
