NASB | Exodus 3:13 ¶ Then Moses said to God, "Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 3:13 ¶ Then Moses said to God, "Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers (ancestors) has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" |
Bible Question (short): Israelites want to know? |
Question (full): Why would Moses think the Jews would want to know God's name? Wouldn't want some other kind of proof than Moses saying that God sent me. When the Jews ask what is His name and God answers I AM. Is this enough proof? |
