NASB | Exodus 21:6 then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him permanently. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 21:6 then his master shall bring him to God [that is, to the judges who act in God's name], then he shall bring him to the door or doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl (strong needle); and he shall serve him for life. |
Subject: do piercing |
Bible Note: Sang Let me clarify one thing I think multiple piercings and tattoos do speak of where the persons heart was at the time. That may not be the same place the heart is at right now but at the time they had the tattoo or piercing that was where their heart was. Now should that drive anyone from the church? No why because once we are in Christ Jesus we become new creatures. We are to judge by their fruit not their appearance. That said I don't think anyone that is in Christ Jesus will continue to stick safety pins through the holes in their brows or washers in the holes in their ears. The holes and tattoos may still be there but they are empty and become nonexistent in the lives of true Christians. EdB |
