AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 21:6 then his master shall bring him to God [that is, to the judges who act in God's name], then he shall bring him to the door or doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl (strong needle); and he shall serve him for life. |
Subject: do piercing |
Bible Note: Sang_Phleg You said "This is a silly thing to debate over. We can agree to disagree on this issue. We can do that because it is not an issue that is spelled out completely in the Bible, nor is it an issue that is essential to our salvation." I disagree. I think the Christian community has overlooked too many things for too many years. That is one reason the church is in the condition it is today. In any case piercing and such certainly give us a clue to where that person’s heart is, and it certainly isn't on things above (in heaven). We are to glorify God with our bodies and punching holes all through it certainly isn’t doing that. EdB |
