Bible Question: I would like to know If you have ringes In your nose or eyebrow and your belly button Is It a sin I know some christians have got them put on their tongue also I think this Is still of the world concern christian oldruggedcross |
Bible Answer: Oldruggedcross Since someone tied this to Ex 21:6 let's talk about that passage. When a slave was set free but wanted to remain in service to his master he had his ear pierced. I think that is the same message piercings carried today. Today people that want to remain in bondage to the dictates of the "world' have themselves pierced. They are clearly saying, "I was in bondage to dictates of this world Jesus provided for my release but I choose to stay servant to this world." I'm sure many will argue with me on this but the fact remains the world is the one that dictated this fashion trend and to join in, in effect says I belong to the world. To me tattoos are similar, if nothing else they broadcast to the world that you make really bad decisions about things that will effect you life forever. EdB |
