Bible Question (short): Lied to and deceived |
Question (full): Someone in our on-line Bible study group lied about a serious illness from which (we were told) she died in October 2003. Now she's back and is saying it was all a "misunderstanding". She then sent us a bogas newspaper clipping (scanned into her computer) that stated it was all a mistake. That e-mail had a virus attached that MSN detected and deleted from 1 participants PC; my anti-virus detector found it and quarateed it. The one who did open it told the rest of us what it was and what it said. I can't begin to put into words what we're feeling toward this person. As originator of this Bible study group, I am responsible for handling 'sticky' situations; the participants want this person kicked out of the study or they will leave. I know I need to handle this as a one-on-one with her and, 1 way or another, in a loving manner. Can anyone give me scripture justifying asking her to leave the group? Thanks for your time and assistance. God bless you and yours. Mamabyrd |
