Bible Note: That's a good verse! I think we should have a motivation to do what is right. It seems that there was a problem with sexual immorality and other sin that Paul was dealing with at that time and people were taking advantage of grace. I think it is good not to get too focused on the law. That is a good way to miss what is really improtant. The Pharasies did that a lot. I used to go to a church where the paster would preach Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Since he isn't resting on the Sabbath Day, is he sinning? He would rest on Monday. What would Jesus say to this paster who realizes that the weekend is the best time to to preach since that is when people are availible? This paster does have whot God is more interested in which is a passion for the Lord. The sabbath day is for our benefit! Mark 2:27 Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. |
