AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath [a day of rest dedicated] to the LORD your God; on that day you shall not do any work, you or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock or the temporary resident (foreigner) who stays within your [city] gates. |
Subject: Which day is number seven? |
Bible Note: God set up the weeks with seven days in it. Man has changed the names of some days but not the seven day cycle. The 1st. day of a cycle is what man has called Sun. the 7th day is what man has called Sat. Which was what God set aside as sabbath. Sun worshipers worshiped on Sun. The church changed to Sun, to encourage folks to come into the church. I feel like every day should be lived as a holy day unto the Lord and commandments be kept every day. A person should live every day like he would if in church, with other christians. |
