Bible Question:
In the Wildness according to Luke 1:what was the reason that the Egytians went into the Wildness and that Jethron and daughter went in and out so why couldn't the Egytians go in out...when they wanted too??? and how many time was the Red Sea opened up 1st or more or does the Bible tell us????I understand some of these questions aren't for answering but things comes to our minds...thanks |
Bible Answer: Grace, I will try to answer your question. Moses killed an Egyptian and fled to the wilderness. He was not known by the Egyptians until he was sent to Egpyt to lead his people out of bondage under the Egyptians. They were slaves there and worked on buildings and things serving Pharoah. There was no reason for the Egyptians to go into the wilderness as they had it made so to speak in Egypt. Besides the wilderness was mostly dry and barren so it was not a place people wanted to go to. I believe the Red Sea was opened up and swallowed those Egyptian soldiers who pursued Moses and his people when Pharoah let them go after God had served them with plagues and the last plague of the killing of the firstborn. There was probably more than one way to cross over into Egypt without going across the Red Sea, I suppose they could have went around. So anyone could go and come as they pleased. I hope I have helped you Grace. May God bless you. Grace and Peace, Val |
