Bible Question: I know that Satan cannot read our minds; where is that in the Bible? |
Bible Answer: Hello annamrowe, I’m no Greek scholar, but here are two verses that I found that I believe logically prove that only God is able to search hearts and read minds. “…and He [The Holy Spirit] who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:27 And then in Revelation, Jesus says: “… And all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.” Revelation 2:23 In the first verse God the Holy Spirit is described as “…He who searches the hearts…”, and in the second verse God the Son is described as “…He who searches the minds and hearts…” If Satan (or any one else but God) was able to “search hearts and minds”, then the descriptive titles in those verses would be deceptive, in that God would not be the ONLY one who is able to search hearts and minds. But God doesn’t lie. Only God is able to read our minds. Ocelot |
