NASB | Psalm 63:1 O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 63:1 O God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will seek You; My soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. |

Bible Note: Hello Savedbyfaith Thank you for sharing. I have a couple comments. 1) You said: "In this Psalm, we can see David understands that he brought this situation upon himself." I don't see it. Could you elaborate? 2) I'm inclined to think this is an earlier time--when David fled from Saul. I say that because verses 9-10 speak of seeking judgement on his pursuers. This is does not coincide with David's great affection for Absalom, and his desire to see him safe. Steve |
