Bible Question (short): Psalm 46:10 |
Question (full): Praise the Lord everyone! I have been reading a book by Joyce Meyer "How to hear from God" and it's a good book and what I got out of it was this verse, learning how to be still, be quiet and listening for his voice. I know that all things take time and practice. I have sat quiet before the Lord, not very long, I would say around 5-10 minutes and my mind will not be quiet. I try to sit there and think about the Lord and clear my mind but I'm thinking about what I did earlier, what I'm going to cook or everything else. What can I try to do to clear my thoughts and focus on God, I'm not used to doing that at all. I'm one of the ones who's always talking (praying) and never listening and God is taking me to another level in him and I just want to do all that he wants me to do. Thanks you and God bless. |
