NASB | Psalm 22:3 Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 22:3 But You are holy, O You who are enthroned in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered]. |
Bible Question: Psalm 22:3 "Yet you are holy enthroned on the praises of Israel." What does this mean? |
Bible Answer: Verse three is understood as metaphorical. It is possibly meant to paint a mental picture of the Lord, sitting enthroned as King in his temple, receiving all the praises being offered up to Him by His people, Israel. That He is holy, means that He is not unjust, untrue, or unkind. Holy is a derivative of the word 'Whole' (Whole-ly) which is meaning, complete, or perfect. |
