Bible Question: What does fearfully mean in this verse |
Bible Answer: Darnea, Hi, I just wanted to drop a little information about your question on Ps.139:14 the word fearfully is translated back to the original Hebrew as the word (yare) meaning to fear morally, and revere, to frighten, be (make) afraid, dread, put in fear, reverence. To revere means to regard with mingled fear, respect and affection; to reverence. Reverence means awe mingled with respect and esteem. And of course to have morals is to be in right conduct or duties of man; ethically, virtuous; chaste; discriminating against right and wrong; didactic; verified by reason or probability. With all that in mind, always striving to be more Christ like daily in our lives. We are to be a light that shineth in darkness. It's not telling us to be fearful as we would be fearful of a prowler or stalker for example. This fear is of the world. The Father is Spirit and Love. In His Love, Serenetime |
